Kelly Marie Hurd started her adventures in life in Newburgh, NY. The only daughter of Bob and Michelle, she was kidnapped by Amazonian pirates at the age of five and abandoned in San Diego, CA, where she learned to boogie board and mountain bike. After joining the circus half a decade later, she traveled across the country to Raleigh, NC, where she pitched a pup tent and waited for an ice cream truck to show up.

A thirst for knowledge and a love of baseball sent Kelly north to Maryland for college, where she studied at the University of Maryland, College Park. After losing a footrace to free t-shirts at a basketball game, she began running marathons to get into better shape, and moved to DC for the flatter topography.

Today, Kelly resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, where her family and friends put up with her constantly taking pictures of their exploits. She doesn't think anyone will believe her adventures if there isn't photo documentation.
